Original reality TV format launching on ITV2 and ITVX in 2023
Big Brother has a whole new home as the global television phenomenon makes its long-awaited return to British TV, moving to ITV2 and ITVX from 2023.
A hand-picked new cast of housemates from all walks of life stay in the world’s most famous reality TV home for up to six weeks, with cameras capturing their every move and the country following every twist and turn.
All the action unfolds under the roof of the iconic Big Brother house, giving it its own contemporary new look in preparation for this show’s reimagining. Delicate tasks, nail-biting nominations, and live evictions are back. The public once again plays an important role, voting throughout the series to determine the winner who will ultimately take home the life-changing prize. Produced by Initial (part of Banijay UK), Big Brother was first shown on UK screens in 2000.
Big Brother is commissioned by ITV2, ITVBe, CITV’s Reality Commissioning & Acquisitions and Controller Director Paul Mortimer and Commissioning Editor Peter Tierney for ITV2 and ITVX. The return to the UK screen will be the first major his Banijay format commission for major entertainment and format producers Natalka Znak and Claire O’Donohoe since joining the group earlier this year.
