As the old saying goes, the bigger the better … but in the context of video games, that’s not always the case.
Dying Light 2 Developer Techland has revealed that it will take “at least 500 hours” to complete the release scheduled for next month on February 4th. This causes some mixed reactions online.
The team clearly thought 500 hours was the selling point, but on social media, the news that it would take so long to complete the sequel as it walks from Warsaw to Madrid has some feathers. It seems to be rippling-there may be filler content.
In a follow-up message, the developers clarified that this time would be a “100% completion rate” and explained how most players can play stories and side quests much faster. Then I posted a more detailed message.
“500 hours is related to maximizing the game. Complete all quests, endings, explorations everywhere in the world, but regular players complete stories and side quests, quite a lot within 100 hours. You need to do a search for, so don’t worry! “
Many others are still tackling the challenge, pointing out how the original game provided hours of fun:
What are your own thoughts on all this? How long is it too long, and do you think you can sink 500 hours into the release of Nintendo Switch? Note that this is a “cloud version” of the game, so it will be a slightly different experience.
