Starfield is going to be awful and you know it – Reader’s Feature

Readers are pessimistic about the first gameplay footage from Bethesda’s Skyrim claims that it’s already clear what the game will look like.

It was first announced a few days ago, and I feel like saying that what’s already negative about Starfield is like kicking a guy when he’s down. The response is not completely negative. On the contrary, there are always a lot of people who seem to be trying to believe the game is great, despite what they might see and hear. But I don’t think you need to read too much between the lines to make sure Starfield is unexploded.

In theory, Starfield sounds like a great idea. As an elevator pitch, Skyrim in space is immediately understandable and exciting, especially considering that it’s not such a sci-fi game. Cyberpunk 2077 is the only open world sci-fi game I can think of, and games that can fly a spaceship are now very rare.

The idea of exploring a strange new world and new civilization in a next-generation-only game sounded great until it actually showed it. I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to look at the first person shooter section first, but the moment it came out it was like a bum! My interest in games disappeared almost instantly. And when they showed the rock pick mini-game, it went perfectly …

I want to know what people are thinking while Bethesda is watching this. An ordinary astronaut roamed a boring square building and shot a common weapon (in the future you can’t manage anything better than a shotgun)? ), And participate in unconscious mini-games. It looked like a Fallout fan mod to make it look more sci-fi, but it wasn’t even particularly good.

The more they see, the more basics are exactly the same as Fallout and Skyrim, with skill and weapon mods, weird characters really awkwardly assembled, and not yet having great facial animations. I noticed. So at least they are no longer potato-facing mutants, but the graphics are still clearly behind the curve.

The most encouraging part of the game was left until the end of the video. I definitely like the idea of exploring 1,000 worlds with a custom spaceship. However, as we have already seen, this is only possible with procedural generation, so very few are handcrafted.

There are only four major cities in the game as a whole, and the number is very small. I think it’s clear that insignificant cities act like Mass Effect’s non-story planets, but they don’t really exist. Details or what you actually see. Given the dull-looking planets they’ve shown so far, it looks like No Man’s Sky is already doing better with this sort of thing, and I see more about Starfield in the two games. I think it will be compared.

The final issue is the battle of spacecraft, which seemed clunky and unstimulating. There aren’t many modern games to compare to such, but it certainly doesn’t look as fast and fluid as Star Wars: Squadrons.

Also, it seems that you cannot even control the ship as it moves from the ground to space. This is automatic. This is what No Man’s Sky is better than before you start. Also, don’t forget that the game was created by about 20 people and Bethesda * Make sure there are over 420 * Wikipedia *.

It’s really unbelievable to see an amateurish display on Starfield’s big rivals. The worst thing, though, is that if you’ve played one of Bethesda’s previous games, you can see how it’s played. Microsoft executives say Bethesda is one of the best developers in the world and are constantly making sure they aren’t evolving and are in high supply instead.

But that’s not the case. They made Skyrim, a great game I love, but since then they’ve been lagging behind other companies and don’t seem to be trying anything like graphics anymore. Storytelling. If Starfield’s gameplay reveals everything that seems obvious, and people are honest with themselves, I think it’s pretty clear that this isn’t another Skyrim. Maybe expect it to be an unavoidable bug.
